Healthy Catalina Dressing Made with Raw Honey

Catalina is one of those dressings that I never even think of eating, but when I do, I wonder why not. It is so delicious with its sweet and tangy tomato overtones. I think I have always been put off because it just seemed a little too fake. It was just one of those dressings that came in a Kraft or Wishbone bottle that was at every potluck I went to as a kid.

Healthy Catalina Dressing Ingredients

This Catalina is NOT your grandmother’s Catalina. It is as nutritious and REAL as it is delicious. Just like my other raw honey recipes, I want every ingredient to be healthy. So instead of ketchup, I’m using organic tomato paste from Italy, and of course, instead of sugar, I’m using raw honey. For the umami aspect, miso is used rather than worcestershire sauce, so it’s vegatarian with the bonus of fermented probiotics. The rest of the spices and seasonings speak for themselves and have their own qualities if you look into them.

I know you will love eating this on a yummy salad with garden-fresh tomatoes. Try it on a plate of cottage cheese with sunflower seeds sprinkled on top for a fantastic high-protein lunch or snack. My mouth just started to water as I thought of it.
